Now the church looks short, but the paint looks AMAZING!\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.andrewklusman.com\/blog\/st-stanislaus-updates\/20160811_125126\/'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.andrewklusman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/20160811_125126-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-821\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.andrewklusman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/20160811_125126-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.andrewklusman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/20160811_125126-125x125.jpg 125w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<figcaption class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-821'>\n\t\t\t\tI can finally see St. Dominic again!\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>So very exciting to see the church restoration work continue. \u00a0God willing, more money will continue to come to the oratory to complete the work in a timely fashion. \u00a0Next up are the doors to the church, then after that, I think, comes the nave ceiling, then the stained glass windows.<\/p>\n<p>But, in the meantime, the scaffolding looks like it&#8217;ll all be down by the Feasts of the Assumption (Monday, August 15th). \u00a0The ICKSP will be having a <strong>High Mass with candlelight procession at 6:30pm<\/strong>, with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament to follow. \u00a0And, for the first time in a few months, Mass should be back at the restored high altar!<\/p>\n<p>Looking further ahead, mark your schedules for the weekend of September 24th and 25th. \u00a0The 150th Anniversary Celebration of St. Stanislaus Parish is that weekend. \u00a0On Saturday the 24th, a <em>Novus Ordo Missae<\/em> will be offered, and at 5:30pm, Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament with <em>Te Deum<\/em>, presided by His Excellency Archbishop Jerome Listecki will follow. \u00a0On Sunday the 25th, at 10:00am, a Pontifical High Mass will be celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Joseph Perry, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago, and the restored main altar will be consecrated. \u00a0Should be a wonderful weekend of Catholicity, capped off by a proper consecration of the restored altar!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>St. Stanislaus Oratory on Milwaukee&#8217;s South Side has been making visible progress on its restoration! \u00a0Hooray!
