As a beginning and introduction, let’s cover a few bases.<\/p>\n
Who am I? Why the title? Having St. Andrew as my patron saint, I try to foster a strong devotion to him.\u00a0 Plus, he was one of the first Apostles and a martyr, so he\u2019s a pretty legit person to try and emulate.<\/p>\n What will I talk about? \n<\/strong>Just an idiot with a keyboard. \u00a0At least on most days. \u00a0Someone who has a bit too much time on his hands, but that’s OK. \u00a0Right now, I’m a Milwaukee, Wisconsin native who is living in the land of horses, bourbon, and belles – Louisville, Kentucky. \u00a0I’ve been here since March 2013. \u00a0My educational background includes a diocesan Catholic school, a Jesuit secondary school, and a secular engineering school. \u00a0The thing that most informs my life is\u00a0my Catholic Faith.\u00a0 My interests in life range from beer to Catholicism to history to technology.\u00a0 You can expect to see a large variety\u00a0of topics written here.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The title is taken from the versicle and response from the Fifth Lection of St. Andrew\u2019s feast day (November 30) in the traditional Roman Rite.\u00a0 The entirety of the prayer goes:<\/p>\n\n\n
\n R.<\/em>\u00a0O bona crux, quae decorem et pulchritudinem de membris Domini suscepisti; accipe me ab hominibus, et redde me magistro meo:
\n* Ut per te me recipiat, qui per te me redemit.

\n<\/strong>Lots.\u00a0 I will talk about lots.\u00a0 To give myself some focus, I imagine that this blog will be part of an homage to Milwaukee and Wisconsin (two wonderful and Catholic locations), but it will also focus on life in Louisville, current events (primarily in the Church), and whatever else I run into in my life.\u00a0 But, generally, that\u2019s Catholic stuff and Wisconsin stuff.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The goal so far is to post Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. \u00a0It could be more or less frequent, as time and life permits! \u00a0We’ll see how it goes!….<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
