The friend of St. Juan Macias and St. Rose of Lima, St. Martin de Porres is a lay Dominican saint, he is the patron of barbers, innkeepers, public health workers, mixed-race people, and those seeking racial harmony.

There is also a statue of him in one of my favorite churches, St. Francis de Sales in St. Louis, MO.
