I love this holy card (and grab one whenever I find it in St. Louis).  It’s big, it’s sturdy, and it features a wonderful Christian saint, that great ruler, that patron of France, St. Louis IX.  This card was issued on the 800th anniversary of his birth and the 250th anniversary of the City of St. Louis.

If our presidents and politicians modeled themselves on the principles and practices of this holy king, how much better would our country and society be?  If they (and we) could imitate his holiness, his sanctity, I think our country and culture would be unrecognizable (and in a good way!).
